Things to Do in St. Louis This Weekend: October 22–25, 2026

There’s a little bit of everything happening around St. Louis this weekend: a big Southern hip-hop reunion, a live orchestra playing to a Halloween favorite, family-friendly Zoo fun and a food festival where every bite is five dollars or less. Here are five ways I’d spend October 22–25.

1. Sample your way through St. Louis Street Food Fest

Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25, starting at noon. Meet us at Together Credit Union Plaza at Ballpark Village, 601 Clark Avenue, St. Louis. Admission requires a ticket; food items are $5 or less. More than 20 food trucks and restaurants are expected, which makes this a perfect place to sample a little of everything instead of trying to agree on one restaurant.

2. Relive a Southern hip-hop era at Cash Money & No Limit

Friday, October 23 at 8 p.m. at Enterprise Center, 1401 Clark Avenue, St. Louis. Ticket prices vary; check Ticketmaster for availability. Birdman, Juvenile, Mannie Fresh, Master P, Mia X and more are on the lineup, with special guest Boosie. Bring your throwback playlist energy—this one is a whole hip-hop era on one stage. Lineup is subject to change.

3. Make it a Halloween movie night with the SLSO

Saturday, October 24 at 7 p.m. or Sunday, October 25 at 2 p.m. at Powell Hall, 718 North Grand Boulevard, St. Louis. Ticket prices vary; check the orchestra’s event page. The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra performs Danny Elfman’s Edward Scissorhands score live to the film. Costumes are encouraged, and Saturday’s Halloween after-party is included with the concert ticket. Note: The Friday performance has been canceled.

4. Enjoy a not-too-scary night at Boo at the Zoo

Select evenings October 22–25, 5–8:30 p.m.; last entry is 8 p.m. at the Saint Louis Zoo, 1 Government Drive, St. Louis. Admission is $16 general, $13 for Zoo members and free for children 0–23 months. Parking is free while space is available. This family-friendly Halloween event features festive decorations, entertainment and select animal exhibits. It is not a trick-or-treating event, and tickets are date-specific, so check availability before heading out.

5. Settle in for Story Time with House of El Cadejo

Sunday, October 25, 6–10 p.m. at The Maryland House, 44 Maryland Plaza, St. Louis. This event is for guests 21 and older; tickets are required and prices vary. The immersive evening brings storytelling, folklore, creativity and conversation together. The Story Time segment is scheduled for 7–7:45 p.m. Come for a drink, stay for a story.

Hidden gem: A free evening with chess royalty

The World Chess Hall of Fame Inductions Ceremony takes place Saturday, October 24, from 5:30–10 p.m. at The Royal Sonesta Chase Park Plaza, Zodiac Room, 11th floor, in the Central West End. Admission is free. The evening honors four international chess figures, with a reception, ceremony and after-party. Even if you don’t follow chess, it’s a rare chance to catch a distinctive St. Louis celebration in an elegant setting.

Star’s personal pick

Edward Scissorhands with the SLSO. A favorite Halloween film, a live orchestra and a Saturday night after-party make this one feel like a whole occasion. I’d choose the 7 p.m. performance and stay for the music and atmosphere afterward.
