It's that time of year again when we celebrate all things that make St. Louis, MO a great place live and thrive. We cheers to toasted ravioli and gooey butter cake, while wearing our best Cardinals gear. We tour all of the best 314 day events with our coolest friends, while dancing and singing our favorite Nelly songs. It's our day to re-dedicate our love for our city, whether native or transplant, our St. Louis pride is on full display on March 14th.

St. Louis means something different for all of us who choose to make it our home. For me, the meaning is clear. It's a place where the potential and possibilities are ever plentiful. When I drive down Washington Ave and see a beautiful mural of Josephine Baker or stand in front of the Old Courthouse where Dred and Harriet Scott plead their case, or rode the Arch tram 630ft in the sky, I'm reminded of the great spirit of this city. This place tells an incredible collective story of perseverance and resilience. It screams "you can be who you want to be". The journey isn't always easy, but it is possible. Annie Malone, Chuck Berry, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Tina Turner, Kate Chopin, Nikki Glaser, Andy Cohen, Jenifer Lewis, Josephine Baker, Maya Angelou, Mary Meachum, and so many more legends are proof.

As this monumental day approaches, I can't help but reflect on how this city has shaped and molded me into a community guide and advocate for all who live and visit the area. I am reminded of how the amazing people, businesses, food, history and culture have motivated me to embark upon this tour of a lifetime.
Happy #314DAY!
